In the Palace of students there was held a ceremony of awarding the "Sunny award" from the public organization of parents of children with down syndrome and other disabilities. The Chairman of the Board at Volyn regional public organization "Down syndrome" Elena Melnik noted, this is an opportunity to thank for the cooperation of caring people who strive to improve the quality of life of children who came into this world slightly different. on the eve of the world day of the person with down syndrome, the rewards of the "Solar award" received about 50 residents. Represent public agencies, utilities, the media, charitable organizations, churches, volunteers. Among the awardees, Secretary of the city Council Julia Bosenko, the Chairman of the constant Commission of city Council concerning social protection, health care, maternity and childhood, education, science, culture, language, Alla Nadtochy, Director of the Lutsk city center of social services for family, children and youth Lina Galan, the Director of the Department of social policy Tetiana Knysh, head of Department of education Oleg Grebenyuk, Director of the Palace of studying youth Stepan Sydoruk, Director of enterprise “Lutsk zoo” Ludmila Denisenko, heads of preschool educational institutions and schools. They received special statuettes, Gratitude and wonderful songs, poetry, choreographic compositions from “Sunny children”. Julia Bosenko sincerely thanked for the award, emphasizing that he is especially dear, because “Sunny kids” always sincere, willing to give their love to others. “We should bring them to city events,” she said, and assured that the city Council will continue to support these special children. Elena Melnik said that the organization brings together 70 families of children with down syndrome, their families and professionals working with this category of people. This gave the opportunity for parents of children with disabilities and professionals to share their experience and knowledge to support each. She appealed to the audience to contribute to an early opening in the city center of reintegration, which will help to solve many problems of children and youth with special needs. The event hosted a charity event, during which it was possible to get multi-colored socks with the inscription “21õðîìîñîìà”, which causes birth of children with special needs. Elena Miller urged those who have purchased the socks to wear them tomorrow to draw attention to families who are raising children with down syndrome. At the end of the holiday 40 families of the “solar children” received food packages, and 60 children with down syndrome - Goodies from Lutsk city Council and Volyn regional charitable Fund “Children's mission.
