Yin and Yang
These words have long been well known in the West, but whether we understand them?
The key to understanding the yin and yang - in the knowledge that in this pair is always hidden third dimension, a kind of silent observer. This third party is an aspect of harmony and balance. Taoists call it Taiji, Yin Yang balances. Balances the yin yang. Taiji means unity. Yin and Yang are woven together and lose their individuality to form a coherent whole. The simplest example - a man and woman coming together to create a family. Family is a concept that lies at the heart of the Chinese lifestyle. Two people coming together to create something new and much larger than each of them, taken individually. This is also a Tai Chi.
In qigong we seek balance and harmony in the breath, body and mind, and all that - in order to strengthen ourselves and our greatest asset, our lives. So when we talk about the yin and yang, we are actually talking about bringing yourself into balance.
In the body, we must balance the Yang-tsi, received from his father's sperm at the time of conception, and Yin-chi, resulting from the maternal ovule. W e get equal portions of male and female at conception, and only genetic factors determining whether we are male or female. It is important that our primary chi was created from equal doses of Yin and Yang.
In Qigong, Yin and Yang are not only male and female, how many active and passive. One side gives the other takes. In the system of blood circulation in our body blood through the arteries (the active side - Ian) comes from the heart and the veins (perceived side - Yin) is returned. Arteries and veins, balancing each other, form a system of circulation. This Tai Chi.
We have already approached the understanding of Yin and Yang. Any two thoughts, ideas, concepts, etc., opposing or counterbalancing each other, are together in a relationship of Yin-Yang. Thus obtained solid (yang) and soft (Yin), day (Yang) and night (Yin), Heaven (Yang) and Earth (Yin) and positive (yang) and negative (yin), hot (yang) and cold (Yin ), white (yang) and black (Yin). These are just a few examples.
Yin and Yang tend towards equilibrium. And in our bodies is often lost. In our primary chi was a balance of yin and yang . But in proportion as the strength of primary qi weakens, it loses its ability to support us in absolute equilibrium. We increasingly find ourselves under the influence of the food we eat, the quality of the air we breathe, the games that we play, and the drugs that we take. When the body loses its original absolute equilibrium, it is immediately reflected in the current Chi's energy meridians of the body. Channels become blocked or narrowed. That flow of energy that goes through all channels of our body ceases to flow smoothly. You can feel it in my leg, or back, or neck. When you age, you start to feel the loss of chi as pain or numbness. Qigong was created to help restore a free current of qi energy channels and to maintain a balance of yin and yang in the body.
Imagine the yin and yang as the two poles of the batteries. One pole of the negatively charged and the other positive. Together they work to maintain the body and its parts in balance. If one pole is out of balance, this should be offset by an infusion of more energy from the opposite pole. For example, if the body is too hot (yang), it must be cooled Yin energy. We can also refer to these two types of chi energy of the fire and energy of water or the Yin and Yang-cm-chi. The upper part of the body, is that above the navel, and where are the most important organs, is considered yang and the lower part, is that below navel, Yin.
Chinese doctors spend years learning all the intricacies of balancing the yin and yang in our body. But to know all these difficulties it is not necessary to begin to engage in Taoist Yoga.
